If you have a criminal record, you know the struggles of a harmed reputation. Your options may now be limited. People often box you in as an offender. Over 19,000,000 in the USA have a criminal record, so you are not alone. If you are one of those, but want to begin a new life, is there a way to repair your reputation? We believe the New Life Card program is a powerful step forward on the path to restoration as a member of society. Here are some benefits to getting a New Life Card.

New life card benefits

Benefit 1 – People Will Look at You Differently

The New Life Card seeks to help change the way people look at you. You know you are changed, but how can they know? How can employers know? How can your family members know? Earning a New Life Card signals to others that you have reached significant guideposts on the path to restoration.

The most important guidepost is that you are walking a New Life path in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The New Life Card builds on that foundation and highlights some other important guideposts that help you restore your reputation in the community.  These guideposts, or markers, include third-party verification that you truly appear to be living a new life. You may be working with a local ministry that is helping you reach these guideposts. That ministry may be an issuing Provider Partner of the New Life Card.

Christian Leaders Institute and its ministry partner, Peacefire, have created a verified process that includes these guideposts: Spiritual/Character Guidepost, Study Guidepost, Transparency Guidepost, Recommendations Guidepost.

Benefit 2 – Getting the New Life Card Benefits Your Identity

Only one in ten who start this process are likely to obtain a New Life Card. The process is challenging, yet very rewarding. You will complete college-level classes. You will gather recommendations. You will write your testimony. All of these activities will help you process who you are and how obtaining the New Life Card displays to others that you are living a New Life.

Benefit 3 – Getting the New Life Card Benefits Your Leadership Skills

You are taking the initiative to improve. You need others to help you. You are taking responsibility to complete classes. You are asking others to vouch for you. They see the truth about you and will be willing to help. You are doing all this to pursue your dream. That is called leadership.

Benefit 4 – Getting the New Life Card Will Help Restore Your Status as a Citizen

Almost everyone likes a comeback kid. Obtaining a New Life Card makes you a verified comeback kid. After you get your card, have your family throw a New Life Card party. Have a cookout. Share your New Life Card victories with others.

Benefit 5 – Getting a New Life Card Can Help You Get a Job

The New Life Card Employer Directory lists employers who recognize the New Life Card. Share your card when you apply for a job with these employers. Put this card on your resume. Human Resource Directors have told us that this card will be an important factor in helping you get hired. While the New Life Card can’t guarantee you a job, it can help you get your foot in the door and be noticed by one of our participating employers.

Benefit 6 – Getting the New Life Card Will Introduce You to College-level Training or Get You Studying at that Level Again.

As a New Life Card applicant, you enroll at Christian Leaders Institute. After you complete orientation and Restorative Justice 101 (required to obtain a New Life Card), you might just keep going. What could happen to you if you received more education?

Benefit 7 – Getting the New Life Card Will Give You More Confidence

Carry the New Life Card with you. It will remind you that you are a new citizen. So much in life is confidence. After you complete the New Life Card process, you will notice the difference!
